Ingredients
- 2 English cucumbers
- ⅓ cup sliced white onion (optional)
- ½ cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- ¼ cup chopped fresh dill, chopped
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
- salt, to taste
Directions
- Rinse the cucumbers and slice them into ¼-inch thick rounds.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, dill, vinegar, sugar, and 1/8 teaspoon of salt, whisking until smooth.
- Incorporate the cucumber slices and, if desired, the sliced onions, and gently mix until everything is evenly coated.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour prior to serving.
- Before serving, taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning with extra salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with additional fresh dill, if desired.
